Top 3 Favorite Flowers to Grow for Creating FRESH Flower Arrangements
Hi friends, it's Lindy from Two Blooms Flower Farm + Small Town Garden Life. I've spent years growing flowers + today I wanted to share with you my top 3 must grow flowers for fresh arrangements.

1. Zinnias! These beauties are the powerhouse of the garden. They grow best in full sun + can be planted after danger of frost has passed (typically early May in Central IL) the more you cut them the more they bloom! They come in a variety of colors + sizes + grow just about anywhere.
2. Sunflowers. Everyone loves the trusty sunflower. Always a welcomed pop of yellow announcing that summer has officially arrived. I like to throw these directly into the garden in the beginning of May. You can grow multiple colors ranging from light yellow to deep red but my personal favorite is the classic yellow with brown center.

3. Amaranth. I love Amaranth! It bring such whimsy + fun to any fresh arrangements. It comes in so many colors and can be found in an upright plume variety or a branching drooping variety (trust me it's prettier than it sounds!) My personal favorite variety to grow is called "love lies bleeding". It adds the most vibrant pop of pink to any arrangement + instantly elevates your bouquet. I start these inside under grow lights because the seeds are super tiny but they can also be thrown directly into the garden after the last spring frost has passed.
If you have any questions about flower arranging please don't hesitate to message me my social media pages where I talk about all things flowers, motherhood, gardening, thrifting + sustainable living.

Happy flower arranging!!
